Members of the Corporation of Finance Brokers (CFB) have voted unanimously in favour of setting up the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB). The vote, which took place at a CFB EGM on 25 May, formalised the winding-up of CFB’s activities and saw the next stage in its strategic alliance with the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI).The AFB will be a sister trade body to AMI.
Solent appoints Goldsmith Williams as partner
Solent Mortgage Services has announced the appointment of Goldsmith Williams as the mortgage packager's preferred conveyancing partner. As part of the appointment, Solent will have more control over the conveyancing side of the mortgage process through the partnership, and can monitor the legal aspects of each individual case more closely. Solent has also confirmed the partnership with Goldsmith Williams should reduce the time it takes to deliver funds to clients and fees to brokers.
Hargreaves appoints HBOS GI
HBOS General Insurance (GI) has been appointed sole provider of home insurance for Hargreaves Lansdown.
