Maureen Sookha joins as Finance Director, having been with Bear Stearns for 3 years managing their London and Tokyo mortgage and cash products within the Controllers Group. CIMA qualified, Maureen has over 12 years accounting experience in an Investment Banking/Financial Markets environment having begun her career at Schroder’s.
John Butt moves into the newly created role of Underwriting Risk Manager and will manage, along with Colin Thomas, the underwriting function within Rooftop from a quality, service, and risk perspective. John will have additional responsibilities within product design and launch and will contribute to the management of risk and operations. With over 20 years experience in lending and packaging he will help to further develop the exceptional service ethos for which Rooftop has become known. John was most recently with Network Data.
Maureen will report to the Rooftop board and John will report to Managing Director, Jonathan Naylor. Commenting on the appointments, Naylor said; “As Rooftop continues its growth path we are taking this early opportunity to enhance the management team. Whilst at Bear Stearns Maureen was involved with Rooftop since inception and brings extensive management accounting and financial control expertise. John’s broad knowledge of both lending and packaging will be invaluable to the team as we build on our success to date.”
