The FMA is available to members of IFA networks that have SPML on their lender panel and to all of SPML’s packagers. The SPML full mortgage application form is populated with the customer information keyed in by intermediaries at the online DIP stage and it can be stored, retrieved and changed as the application progresses. The new FMA replaces the previous version of the online application form which was only partially completed from AIP and DIP data.
Network members submitting broker direct applications can submit the FMA electronically via the SPML website, allowing the case to be progressed in advance of the signed paper application being received by post. Packagers that deal direct with applicants and brokers submitting cases via packagers can print off the fully completed application form for signature and onward packaging or processing.
The FMA has been designed as a form that is easy and intuitive to use, and advisers will only have to answer the questions relevant to their clients’ personal circumstances.
John Prust, sales and marketing director of SPML said: “We are confident that our online full mortgage application form will be warmly welcomed by all our introducers as a time-saving facility that reduces paperwork and limits manual form filling. SPML is committed to an ongoing programme of online developments to make life easier for packagers and brokers, helping them to deliver a fast and efficient service to their customers."
