Support has continued to flood in for a JustGiving campaign in memory of Pure Panel Management's David Gillam (pictured) who sadly passed away recently.
The campaign is raising money for Safe Families UK, the charity of which Gillam was a trustee.
The national charity works to support isolated, vulnerable families who are in desperate need of support. It offers befriending to the families which allows them a connection and a feeling of belonging with its volunteers who are dedicated to seeing the family thrive.
Families supported by the charity have many needs and some live below the poverty line.
Gillam had been a volunteer since the early days of Safe Families.
The page has been set up by Rob Jupp, CEO of Brightstar Group, and has been attracting donations from throughout the industry.
Jupp said: "David Gillam was many things, but 'larger than life' was something we would all agree on.
"This page was set up for members of the UK Mortgage and related industry to donate to David's chosen Charity, which is a charity based in the North East, who do some remarkable things.
"David supported many of us, in many ways, over many years, so it's time to 'dig in deep' for the Big Man and support his legacy."
At the time of publishing the campaign has so far raised £2,200.
