This is part of an ongoing major investment program to develop the support services to its national network of building surveyors.
The system is being developed for Habitus by xit2 and is based on their popular Valuation exchange platform. The system will streamline the process of distributing and managing instructions to our building surveyors and will enable surveys and HCRs to be completed and delivered online to major lenders and Home Information Pack (HIP) providers.
Habitus CEO, Brendan Doyle, said: “With HIPs fast approaching, we intend to ensure that our growing national network maintains a technological edge and is able to provide the highest quality of service to all the estate agents, HIP providers and lawyers that use our services. We are pleased to be able to partner xit2 in this significant project and benefit from the skills of their highly talented team.”
Paul Duckworth, chief executive of xit2 Group commented: "We're delighted to be working with Habitus to develop a platform for their network. Habitus is one of the largest and longest established national networks of surveyors, and their specialist knowledge and experience makes them ideally placed to be a provider of HIPs. xit2 will support this by developing, hosting and maintaining an IT platform for Habitus to facilitate their production of HIPS. We are working closely to ensure that the technical infrastructure to create HCRs and a range of Panel Management tools are in place to offer total piece of mind for the Habitus Network.
“The number of packs to be produced means that the technology must be robust and scalable and the speed in developing the platform is testament to the flexibility and sophistication of the technology," he added.
