Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, where she’s been working as director of strategic partnerships since December 2015, Esther Dijkstra was the head of intermediary protection at Scottish Widows. Here, she was instrumental in the launch of ‘Scottish Widows Protect’ into the intermediary market, which went live in 2015. Dijkstra began her career in management consultancy with IBM in the Netherlands and moved to the UK in 2000. She previously worked for Legal & General where she was commercial and marketing director of the L&G Network and UK Mortgage Club. Dijkstra describes herself as a thought leader who develops strategic plans and creates organisational capability by developing multi-skilled teams in a constantly changing environment. Last year, she was the recipient of the Financial Reporter Women's Recognition Award.
