CMBA – BC CEO Samantha Gale is a legally trained regulatory expert engaged in industry association and association management. The Vancouver-based mortgage leader was appointed to her current role in November 2013. Prior to this, she was manager of mortgage broker regulation/manager of real estate at BC Financial Institutions Commission, from June 1998 to October 2013. In this role, she administered various regulatory programs under provisional statutes, including the Mortgage Brokers Act and the Real Estate Development Act. Gale holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia Law School.
