Named the 2016 Professional Saleswoman of Nevada and the 2017 Silver Award winner of Best in Reno Mortgage Lenders, Melanie Galvin is dedicated to giving back to her community both professionally and personally. “I enjoy partnering with many industry professionals, learning from the best of the best on what is going on in our current markets and industry as a whole,” she says.
Outside of her work at Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Galvin is a partner with Certified Residential Specialists, the Women’s Council of Realtors, the Real Estate Board, the Chamber of Commerce and the Builders Association of Northern Nevada. The best thing about being a part of these organizations, she says, is “the fellowship and sharing the knowledge and helping my clients find the best loan options that meet their needs.”
On a personal level, Galvin contributes more than 100 hours to community service each year, volunteering at local organizations such as the Special Olympics, Gospel Mission, Project 150, Eddy House, Ronald McDonald House and the Veterans Guest House. “No matter the project, my heart is in serving others,” she says.
