Dart Appraisal enhances Southeast presence with new acquisition

Appraisal management company Dart Appraisal has acquired Valuation Management Group, which is based near Atlanta.

Established as AMC in 2006, Valuation Management is led by Vicky Thompson. As part of the transaction, majority of the Valuation Management team will join Dart Appraisal. The team’s current office location in the Atlanta area will be maintained.

Dart Appraisal said the deal enhances its footprint in the Southeast, specifically in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama. Additionally, Dart Appraisal said it will now be able offer its customers commercial appraisals, which Valuation Management provides on top of residential appraisal services.

“Acquiring VMG allows us to continue to bolster the quality service our clients expect from Dart Appraisal,” Dart Appraisal President Michael Dresden said. “We’ll be able to offer more products, further expand our already strong appraiser panel, and provide more support by adding dozens of talented employees to our first-rate team.

“Over the past 25 years, all of our growth has come organically, but we decided a couple of years ago that we would like to augment that growth through acquisition as well,” Dresden added. “VMG checked all of the boxes that we were targeting – they have a solid reputation, a great client base, motivated and professional employees, and expanded services to add to our portfolio.”
