realtor.com connects homeowners to EasyKnock's 'sell now, move later' programs
EasyKnock, a residential sale-leaseback platform, has teamed up with realtor.com to help consumers who unexpectedly have to move to a new home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the partnership, realtor.com users will be able to quickly determine their eligibility for two EasyKnock programs: Sell and Stay and MoveAbility.
EasyKnock's Sell and Stay offers longer-term lease options and the chance to buy back the home, while MoveAbility is targeted toward homeowners who are still waiting to find their new home.
EasyKnock buys a home through these programs and closes within an average of 21 days. Homeowners can choose to rent the home back for as long as they want and then give EasyKnock the green light to sell the home when they are ready. Owners can also receive additional proceeds when the sale is made.
"The COVID-19 crisis has had a profound impact on the job market, which may lead some families to make extremely difficult decisions," said Todd Callow, vice president of product management at realtor.com. "As part of our mission to provide consumers with all of the available information to help make informed decisions, realtor.com will inform consumers about EasyKnock's options so they can determine if the programs are a good fit for their financial and housing needs."
